Water is one of the most fundamental conditions of life, shaping and being shaped by everything it encounters. In this series, I use plastic bags—an ordinary product of modern consumption—to recreate the movement of water, circling and pulsing between the natural world and the human-made environments that increasingly define it.
I am drawn to the way plastic can echo the movement of water without ever becoming it. The work inhabits the space between resemblance and reality, where one thing momentarily takes on the appearance of another. In that shift, the familiar becomes less certain, revealing how closely the natural and the manufactured have become intertwined.
